ABOUT THE GARDEN WALK

Attendees can look forward to touring six wonderful gardens across the greater Elk Rapids community whose owners are on a mission to preserve northern Michigan’s beauty through water and land conservation.
These gardens will educate and delight visitors as they stroll and explore, enjoying vibrant native plants, happy pollinators, and mindful environmentally-focused landscapes.
Collaborators from local environmental organizations will be stationed at the garden locations ready to share their important local conservation efforts:
• Antrim County Conservation District – Soil Erosion
• Barker Creek Nursery
• Elk-Skegemog Lakes Association
• Grass River Natural Area
• Michigan State University Extension Service
• Paddle Antrim
• Pine Hill Nursery
• Pine Hill Village Gardens
• Torch Conservation Center
• Torch Lake Protection Alliance

YOU’LL BE GARDEN-WALKING FOR A GREAT CAUSE!

The Garden Walk is a biennial fundraiser event of the Elk Rapids Garden Club and supports the group’s mission to protect the environment and beautify the village for residents and visitors.
For many years, garden club members have provided extensive volunteer-based service hours of garden work—over 1250 hours in 2022! Without these dedicated volunteers, the garden spaces throughout the community would not grow and thrive. Learn more:
