DESCRIPTION:Join local conservation professionals in Northwest Michigan to learn how you can contribute to our work while you are out paddling and playing on the water! You will learn how to identify and report invasive species while preventing their spread. We are thrilled to partner with CAKE CISMA on this training. The class will include off-water and on-water instruction. \nWhen: June 16\, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm \nWhere: Torch River – Aarwood Trail Water Access |8345 Aarwood Trail NW\, Rapid City\, MI 49676 \nThis event is free but registration is required.  \nREQUIREMENTS: \n\nParticipants must bring a kayak/canoe/paddle board for the on-water events.\nPaddlers must always wear life jackets out on the water.\nAll paddlers must complete a paddling class waiver prior to participation. DESCRIPTION:Date: Friday\, June 19\, 2026 \nTime: 6:30 – 8:00 PM (arrive a few minutes early – we launch as a group at 6:30 PM) \nLocation: Ellsworth River Park (6625 Bridge St\, Ellsworth\, MI) \nJoin Paddle Antrim for a scenic community paddle on Ellsworth Lake as part of the Ellsworth/Atwood Pig Roast! This free\, family-friendly paddling event welcomes all types of paddlecraft\, including kayaks\, canoes\, and paddleboards. The 1.5-hour leisurely paddle will launch from Ellsworth River Park and provide a unique opportunity to learn about protecting our local waterways. \nEvent Details: \n\nWho Can Join? Paddlers of all ages and skill levels. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the water.\nWhat to Bring? Your own kayak\, canoe\, or paddleboard\, plus a paddle and PFD (life jacket)—which must be worn at all times.\nRegistration: No pre-registration required\, but all paddlers must complete a digital event waiver before participation.\n\nComplete Waiver \nHelp Protect Our Waterways \nTo prevent the spread of invasive species like New Zealand Mud Snails\, always Clean\, Drain\, and Dry your boat and gear before launching in a new waterway.
