DESCRIPTION:Complete Waiver \nJoin Paddle Antrim for a special paddling event to kick-off the paddling season on the Chain of Lakes Water Trail with Short’s Brewing Company! \n \nGrab your paddleboard\, kayak or paddle craft of choice and join us for an hour long paddle on Elk River followed by a gathering\, 2 minutes up 31\, at Short’s Pull Barn.  \nSchedule of Events: \n5:30 pm – Meet at Elk Rapids Rotary Park for a community paddle on Elk River \n\nAll paddlers must bring their own craft/boat (SUP\, kayak\, canoe\, etc.. )\, paddle and life jacket. As with all Paddle Antrim events\, life jackets must be property warn at all times. \nAll ages are welcome but children under 18 must be accompanies by an adult on the water. \n\n5:45 pm – Launch as a group for a 1 hour slow paddle on the Elk River  \n6:45 pm – Head to Short’s Pull Barn (211 Industrial Park Drive\, Elk Rapids\, MI 49629) \n\nDiscount on beverages (all community paddle participants will get their first pint for $1)\nLive music by Spencer Hollenbeck \nFood trucks – Alley Cats Eats and Sweets and Osorio Tacos\n\n9:00 pm – Event concludes \nThis event is free and no pre-registration is required. \nTo protect our waters\, anytime you change waterways you should ALWAYS Clean\, Drain\, and Dry your boat and gear to prevent the spread of invasive species. SUMMARY:Ellsworth Community Paddle
DESCRIPTION:Grab your paddleboard\, kayak\, or canoe and join Paddle Antrim for an amazing paddle on Ellsworth Lake as part of the Ellsworth/Atwood Pig Roast. This slow paddle begins at River Park (6625 Bridge St). Check-in at 6:30 pm and we will launch as a group at 6:45 pm. We encourage all ages and types of paddle crafts to join us on the water for these slow paddles. Paddles last approximately one hour on the water\, are free\, and no pre-registration is required.  All paddlers must bring their own craft/boat\, paddle\, and a pfd (life jacket). DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a festive Saturday in the Park! Paddle Antrim will have a booth at  at Nature Fest. This is a free\, family friendly event featuring 40+ nature oriented organizations promoting healthy people and a healthy planet. In beautiful downtown Elk Rapids’ Veterans Memorial Park\, adventurers\, friends and family can visit exhibits and booths\, hear noted speakers\, join kids’ activities\, enjoy refreshments and explore new ideas. Hosted by Green Elk Rapids – greenelkrapids.org\n \nNature Fest is also putting practices in place such as the use of QR codes where possible instead of paper to make the event as sustainable as possible.

DESCRIPTION:Register Today \nAll classes will be held at River Park (6625 Bridge St\, Ellsworth\, MI) \nThis class teaches paddlers the basics for paddling all types of kayaks in a fun and safe way. You’ll learn about what kayaks work best for what conditions and other paddling best practices. Learn how to make the kayak go where you want it to go and basic safety skills needed on the water. You will have the opportunity to learn what to do when (not if) you end in the water\, out of your boat. This class is great for beginners but anyone who has never received formal instruction will benefit. \nBring:  \n\nKayak (whatever you use is ok)\nPaddle\nPfd (life jacket)\nClothes/rash guard that can get wet – polypropylene\, polyester\, coolmax\, etc…. anything but cotton!\nFleece and raincoat (if cool weather)\nWater shoes preferred over sandals. Must stay on feet\, no flip flops.\nDry clothes to change into\nWater bottle\nSunscreen\n\nIf you do not have a kayak\, please contact us prior to registration and our instructors may be able to accommodate.  \nAll classes are taught by ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructors. \nMaximum student: teacher ratio is 5:1\nAges: 14 and up\n$45/person \nREQUIREMENTS:\n– Participants must wear life jackets while on the water. \n– All paddlers must complete a paddling class waiver prior to participation. DESCRIPTION:Register Today \nOur kids’ class is a great way to introduce your child to the sport of kayaking. Designed with fun and water safety as primary goals\, we teach students through a variety of games and exploration. Our experienced\, certified instructors teach basic skills with a goal to empower kids to be comfortable while out on the water. Thanks to our friends at West Michigan Coastal Kayaking Association (WMCKA)\, students are provided traditional youth sized sea kayaks\, paddles\, and life jackets to use during the class. \nAll classes are taught by ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructors. \nMaximum student: teacher ratio is 4:1\nAges: 7-13\n$30/person for two hours \nClass includes instruction and all necessary equipment. Limited partial scholarships are available\, please contact us prior to registration for more information. If unable to attend\, we can transfer your registration to another class. Refunds are only available if class is cancelled. If you are unable to attend\, please contact us prior to your class about transferring your registration to another class.
