SUMMARY:WMCKA Kayak Symposium 2022
DESCRIPTION:Register today: http://wmcka.org/symposium/registration/\n \nThe 31st annual WMCKA Kayak Symposium will take place at the YMCA Camp Pendalouan’s facilities on Big Blue Lake in Montague\, MI.\nGeared towards the beginning to the intermediate kayaker\, the WMCKA Symposium offers 2 1/2 days of jam-packed kayak instruction with a very low student/instructor ratio. Instruction takes place on and in the sheltered water of Big Blue Lake. This lake is usually warm when the symposium takes place.\nThe Symposium focuses on improving your paddling skills by offering classes on basic and intermediate paddling strokes\, safely exiting your kayak\, getting back into your kayak\, and rolling classes. These classes will help you move through the water more efficiently and increase the distance you can paddle comfortably and help you to be safe in bigger water.\nOur certified instructors are passionate about kayaking and come to Symposium with a desire to teach and with our small class sizes they can focus on the student.\nThe Symposium welcomes the entire family\, with a youth program combining many of the same skills classes but tailored to the ability and energy of youth ages 7 to 14. This includes land and water classes\, as well as a mix of typical youth events available at Camp Pendalouan.\nFrom ages 7-80+ we can get you paddling safely and confidently.
