Paddle Antrim is proud to host the Chain of Lakes Water Trail. The water trail encompasses Antrim, Charlevoix, Grand Traverse and Kalkaska Counties. This non-motorized water trail is a flatwater system made up of 12 lakes and interconnected rivers with 84 access sites providing over 100 miles of water trail for paddlers to explore. Paddle Antrim oversees the water trail and relies on its 20 partners who own the access sites comprising the trail.

In December 2018, the Chain of Lakes Water Trail earned recognition as one of the first eight state-designated water trails in Michigan, maintaining its status as the sole state-designated water trail in Northern Michigan. Paddle Antrim introduced the water trail in 2021 with a dedicated website, materials, and signage, making the trail accessible to all.
